It is of critical importance to achieve waste reduction and energy efficiency in the tourism sector for a sustainable future. To this end, standards such as the Green Destinations criteria adopted by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and the Green Ideas for Tourism Project developed as part of the Erasmus+ program have been established.
