Are You Ready for a New Experience in Gastronomy and Local Flavors with Şerife Aksoy at SENTRUM Birgi?
As part of the SENTRUM project, we aim to transform our cultural heritage of traditional flavors into unforgettable Birgi delicacies.
Together with Şerife Aksoy, who has been an inspiring figure in gastronomy for many years and is renowned for her contributions to culinary culture, we are pursuing local flavors. You can discover Birgi’s fresh and natural products and experience regional tastes with a modern twist.
In collaboration with Chef & Farmer Şerife Aksoy, we conducted local production-focused workshops for women of Birgi and tourism businesses in the region. The program included hands-on training on making vinegar, mustard, bread, pickles, and natural yeast.
The workshops attracted participants from diverse age groups and professions. Certificates were awarded to those who successfully completed the training.
For those unable to attend, the sessions were recorded in video format and archived for future access. This ensures continuous access to knowledge and aims to benefit a wider audience.
These efforts continue to contribute to sustainable development in Birgi by connecting local production with tourism.
